Is the SHSS certification required for the Advisor Program?
Yes. The Senior Home Safety Specialist® certification is the prerequisite, and every new-advisor package includes it. If you already hold it, the Business Builder path lets you skip it and add only the business program.
Will the directory and membership help me get clients?
We do not guarantee leads, but yes, the Age Safe® Directory is a real source of them. It is the public network where families, discharge planners, and referral partners search for certified advisors near them, and members get a searchable listing plus the credibility of the brand. Visibility in front of people already looking, not a guaranteed pipeline.
Do you offer territory protection or exclusivity?
No. Age Safe® America does not grant exclusive territories or geographic protection. Certified advisors operate independently and may serve any client, subject to applicable laws.
How long does it take?
The certification is self-paced and can be finished in hours to days. The Advisor business training is built to work through over several weeks while you apply it with real clients. How fast you build depends on how consistently you work it. Membership runs a full year.
Do I need prior experience?
No. The program is built for beginners, for professionals expanding their services, and for people entering the senior-services market from another field.
What does it cost to keep going after year one?
Your training and field kit are yours. Membership and the directory listing renew annually, and the SHSS credential has its own annual refresher. Both are optional, and both are what keep you listed and current.
